I grew up in Castle Shannon and those I grew up with (myself included) called the type of streetcar in the photo below a Dinkey. I do not know if Dinkey was a common name or if others in other communities called this type of streetcar by the same name. The Dinkey & the PCC cars was our mode of transportation to high school (1959-1960 school year) which was in Dormont and it was at this same stop we would catch the car for school. That lasted until Castle Shannon acquired a school bus.
